Our Organization
The National Multiple Sclerosis Brain Bank is an invaluable resource in the fight to cure MS by providing researchers access to brain, spinal cord, and related tissues. Established in 2020, the Brain Bank is a collaboration between investigators at Columbia University, the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NIH/NINDS), and the Yale School of Medicine. The Brain Bank is made possible, in part, through the generous support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Considering Donation
Individuals who are living with multiple sclerosis and wish to learn more about a contribution to the brain bank after death are invited to enroll in a prospective study. We will contact you to learn more about your specific circumstances. Participants are invited to share MRI data and visit the Columbia MS Center occasionally for an in-person visit if possible.
